Exactly along the approved route
Drivers choose operator, route and direction. The app knows the route and stays on it – including loop routes and sections driven twice. A normal sat nav would take a shortcut here.
Voice instead of screen
All instructions come by voice. The screen can stay dark while driving so your eyes stay on the road. After every stop the app repeats the next turn as soon as the bus pulls away.
Automatic return to the route
If the bus leaves the route, the app calculates the way back and shows it in orange. From the depot it guides you to the first stop.
Diversions from the control centre
Connected operators maintain current route versions. The app downloads them automatically before each shift; short-notice changes arrive by push while driving.
Every bus in real time
For connected operators, the live map shows all vehicles and stops in real time. At KVG Kiel that is around 100 buses and about 1,500 stops.
